Christian Waldvogel is currently a Partner at Viventures Partners in Paris covering European-wide investments. Viventures Partners is a venture capital company with a presence in Paris, San Francisco and Singapore, established by the Vivendi Universal Group. The investor base includes the Vivendi Universal Group and other leading IT companies such as Cisco, British Telecom, Nokia, Siemens and financial institutions such as Société Générale and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Viventures’ investment focus is on early-stage IT and telecom companies.
Prior to joining Viventures, Mr. Waldvogel was in charge of Intel Capital’s investment activities in France, the Benelux and Southern Europe. He opened two new markets for Intel Capital by completing their first investments in France and Portugal.
Prior to Intel Capital, Mr. Waldvogel occupied European-wide responsibilities for Intel Corporation in the broadband communication space (based in Munich) and before that for the European Telecommunications Satellite Organization (EUTELSAT) in the digital television space (based in Paris).
Mr. Waldvogel holds a Ph.D. in Cryptography and a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich. He also holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering from Princeton University (US) and a Corporate Finance Seminar Certificate from INSEAD (Paris).
