Gesventure is organizing the 8th Venture Capital IT,
International Congress of Venture Capital and
Entrepreneurship dedicated to the themes of
Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Venture Capital and Early
Stage Investments which will take place on April 8th and 9th
in the Main Auditorium of Taguspark in Oeiras.
Here you will find the summarized biography of the key
speakers, the identification of all the speakers already
confirmed until now, the VCIT Agenda, information about Elevator Pitch
and the categories of "Prémios Gesventure" [Gesventure’s
Prizes] which will be delivered in the end of the event.
SPEAKERS
The guest speakers’ panel comprises national and
international specialists in the themes above mentioned,
being that the opening of the session will be done by the
Oeiras’ City Hall president, Isaltino Morais.

Paulo Teixeira
Pinto
Paulo Teixeira Pinto is a consultant in Abreu Advogados,
after having performed several functions in BCP – Banco
Comercial Português, among which as CEO.
He was part of the 12th Constitutional Government
(1991-2005) as undersecretary and State Secretary of the
Presidency of the Ministers’ Council as well as spokesperson
of the Government.
Graduate in Law School and doctorate in Law, has advanced
training in Business Strategy and High Company Management
recognized by INSEAD de Fontainebleau and AESE,
respectively.

Ozires
Silva
Brazil
Ozires Silva is a Brazilian entrepreneur and a reference in
the aeronautics sector of Brazil, having leaded the team
that established EMBRAER (Brazilian aeronautics builder) in
the 1970s and 1980s.
Currently he is president of São Paulo’s World Trace Center,
president of Nova Biotecnologia, S.A. and Principal of the
Santo Amaro University (São Paulo). His Curriculum also
points out to the presidency of Petrobrás and Varig and
Minister of Infra-structure (1990-1991).
By initiative of the Superior Institute of Management and
Economy of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (ISAE/FGV), Ozires
Silva is currently the name of an annual entrepreneurship
prize which has as aim to recognize entrepreneurs which
contribute to the development and growth of the country in
several categories.
Ozires Silva is also the author of the book: "Cartas a um
Jovem Empreendedor" [Letters to a Young Entrepreneur](2006)

Peter
Kelly
Finland
Peter Kelly is the executive director of the Helsinki School
of Creative Entrepreneurship, institute that has as aim to
develop the entrepreneurial capacity and support the
commercialization of the research in the Helsinki region.
Doctorate in entrepreneurship by the London Business School,
Peter Kelly already taught in several Finnish, British and
north-American institutes, being now in a phase of raising
capital to the creation of a Finnish pre-seed fund of
Venture Capital.
Before moving to Europe, Kelly worked in the Canadian
investment banking, having been involved in several
operations of M&A.

John
Polden
United Kingdom
John Polden is Director and Partner of MTI Partners Limited
and manager of investment funds of this venture capital
company amounting 205 million euros.
Previously to being specialist in investments in the
electronics and software sectors, Polden was CEO of the
Hawker Siddeley Group, company of development of equipment
of industrial and military control.
John Polden is a graduate in electronics engineering
(Southampton U.) and concluded a MBA in London Business
School.
